Leadership Development Conference for Newer Chief Academic Officers

ABHE is pleased to offer its fifth Chief Academic Officers’ Leadership Development Conference the weekend of October 15-17, 2010 (Friday lunch through Sunday lunch). For those of you in the Eastern region, this event immediately follows the Eastern Deans peer group meeting Thursday-Friday, October 14-15.
This special leadership development event will focus on key responsibilities and expectations, skill development, and problem solving inherent to the chief academic officer role in biblical higher education. Instructional sessions, as well as extensive small group interaction and mentoring will be provided by a select cadre of peer leaders with extensive biblical higher education experience (see attached preliminary program and faculty/mentoring roster).
The conference will be the first held in our fabulous new ABHE conference facilities in the Citadel I office building just outside the Orlando International Airport. Lodging for conference delegates will be arranged by ABHE at special rates in an adjacent hotel. Thanks to the Leadership Development for Biblical Higher Education Fund, ABHE will cover all costs for the instructional team, program, free books, and valuable resource materials. The inclusive cost for two nights’ lodging and all meals for you and your spouse is $300. Representatives from ABHE member institutions who are unable to cover these costs may apply for a 50% or 100% scholarship. We are determined that no one from a member institution will be excluded financial limitations.
The conference is intended primarily for ABHE chief academic officers who are in their first three years of office. Participation may be open to other academic leaders as space permits. Previous participants have offered high praise and heartfelt gratitude for the provision of this professional development experience.
